Honors Height Park Day 3 Part 1

Muskogee Adventure Continues

The day was beautiful and I spend quite a bit of time at the park taking pictures.  I still have a hard time explaining just how gorgeous the flowers were.  OK I took quite a few (536) pictures during my get away adventure.  How could I not???

Every where I looked was another
amazing flower just waiting to be
photographed.

The tulips of every color imaginable were awesome!!

The colors in the different flower beds were gorgeous.

Maybe I just get a bit carried away with my picture taking passion but aren't they beautiful!!!

Until next time with more flowers and pictures-
Have a beautiful day,
Charyl

Muskogee Honor Heights Park Adventure Day 2

Day 2 of my Adventure was an extremely windy day.

I went back to Honor Heights Park and took more pictures but the tulips were dancing all over the place which made it harder for me to capture.

I had a beautiful butterfly fly onto the azaleas right when I was snapping a picture.  I continued to follow him and got many pictures.  Here are 2 of them.

I still can't get over the beauty I saw there.

It is definitely a place to visit.  Muskogee, OK, just about 30 minutes or less east of Tulsa.

I know I will be back here in the future.  Hopefully next spring I will be able to catch the beauty of the azaleas and the tulips.  I think April is the best month to catch them, plus during the month they have a festival on weekends.

I have loved eagles ever since our family lived in Adak, Alaska.  My son Jay loved and studied eagles.  We even went on a bird count and counted the eagles.  Consequently, when I see an eagle statue I am drawn back into that time period.  This was a beautiful eagle statue.

Have an awesome day,
Charyl

Muskogee Adventure Day 1 Part 2

After spending time with the azaleas I decided to head into the Tulip Papilion.  It was such a beautiful day I could have spent the day there.  All I can say is absolutely beautiful.  I will be back in years to come.

It seemed like every place I looked was more beautiful than the last.  It was hard to decide which pictures were the best.  I loved all them!!!

This was my view while I was sitting and writing in my journals. Extremely peaceful.

Muskogee Adventure Day 1 Part 1

I decided I needed to get away for awhile.  The year mark for my Dennis' passing was upon me and I needed some time to do some thinking and pondering.  I had lots of different places in mind but my friend Coleen suggested going to Muskogee.  The month of April was when they were having the Azalea Festival at Honor Heights Park.  I decided that sounded like a good place to spend some time writing plus it sounded like I would have some beautiful scenery to view.

I got there on Monday evening so decided to head out in the morning.  It was a beautiful day to visit the park.  I took a lot of pictures plus spend time sitting on a picnic table writing in my journal and thinking about Dennis.  Dennis is my one true love and I miss him terribly.

These were some of the pictures I took before I headed into the Tulip Sanctuary.

I took way more picture than I could put in a blog or on facebook, so I had to choose some of my favorites.

I especially liked the yellow ones.

Tho Pink are pretty too.
